What is stored, what for, and what you can do about it. In short: the name you play under and an email address so you can sign in.

This is a translation of the Spanish version, which is the binding one. If the two ever disagree, the Spanish text applies.

What is stored

The name you play under The one you type when you sign up, or the one the organizer types for you. It can be a first name or a nickname: it is not checked and it does not have to be your legal name.
An email address, if you sign up, are invited or have an account To send you the code you sign in with (there are no passwords), the link to claim your profile when you sign up or someone invites you and, if you have them switched on, match reminders.
What you play Results, dates, who you play with and who against. That is where the standings and the statistics come from.
What you asked to be told about If you press "Tell me when they play" on someone's page, or "Tell me what happens here" on a competition, it is kept with your account so we can send you that notice. You can remove it whenever you like. That person is not told anything.
If you turn on notices on your phone The address Apple or Google give that device so we can send it the notice, and two keys it is encrypted with. It hangs off your account and is deleted when you turn it off.
If you turn on “open to opportunities” That you turned it on and that you confirmed you are 18 or over, with the date. Not your date of birth.
Each time a code is requested or someone signs up The email address, the IP address and the time, to stop anyone asking for them in bursts.
Where you came from, if you create a competition The website you came from the first time (just its name, such as google.com, never what you searched for) and the first page you opened. It is stored with the competition, so we know what brings clubs here, and nothing else about the visit.
A session cookie Only to keep you signed in. See cookies.

You are never asked for a phone number, an ID number, a date of birth, a postal address, a playing level or a payment method. There are no payments.

Reminders can be switched off, and every email carries its own link to stop receiving them without having to sign in.

What is public

A competition marked as public can be seen without signing in, and with it the names of the people playing, their results and their standings. That includes search engines being able to find it. Your email address is never public and is not shown to the other participants.

The organizer decides, when creating it, whether it appears in the public listing. A competition that does not appear stays out of the listing, out of search engines and out of its players' profiles.

Not being listed is not the same as being protected. There is no password: anyone who reaches its address can see it, even if nobody passed it on. It is there so that your group's league does not show up on Google, not to keep anything confidential. If a stranger must not read it, do not write it here.

Who it is shared with

Nobody. Data is neither sold nor handed over, there are no ad networks and no third-party analytics, and the pages load no fonts, no scripts and no images from other domains: there is nothing that could track you from outside.

The only third parties involved are the provider hosting the server, the one delivering the email and, if you turn on notices on your phone, Apple's or Google's notification service, which carries them encrypted. Only as far as is needed for the site to work and for the notices to arrive.

For how long

As long as the account exists. The sign-in code and link expire after 30 minutes, and the demo copy deletes itself. The results of a public competition are part of its participants' history and are kept for as long as the competition exists. Request records (email and IP) are deleted after 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to take it with you. Just write to info@peldia.com from your account's address.

If you believe something is not being done properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, aepd.es), which is the supervisory authority for this site.

Under-18s

Minors play in grassroots sport. To play, Peldia does not ask for anyone's age, so whoever enters a minor must have the permission of the person responsible for them, and should consider whether that name ought to appear in a public competition or in one that stays out of the listing.

There is one exception, and only one: turning on “open to opportunities” in your account (so a club or an academy can find you once that search is available) requires confirming that you are 18 or over. Your date of birth is neither asked for nor stored: all that is recorded is that you confirmed it, and when. That confirmation is not verified, which is precisely why the responsibility of whoever looks after a minor still stands.
